Meet The Artist

This journey began in 2017 when I learned that my best friend was expecting her first baby. Wanting to create something truly special for her, we decided on an “Under the Sea” theme for the nursery. I chose watercolor paintings, and little did I know that this personal project would spark an entire creative adventure. Over time, I expanded my collection to include various animals, which became the foundation for the artwork you see today. Thank you for being part of my creative journey!

Why 1953?

You might be wondering where the name "1953 Gallery" comes from. It's a tribute to my father, who was born in 1953 and passed away when I was just 16. He was a talented artist, though he never pursued it professionally. I still use his Winston & Newton watercolor palette for every piece I create, keeping his artistic spirit alive in each stroke.

What do you sell?

At 1953 Gallery, we specialize in selling beautifully crafted watercolor prints featuring a variety of animals. Each piece is carefully painted with vibrant colors and delicate detail to bring these creatures to life. From the gentle sway of sea creatures to the majestic beauty of land animals, our collection captures the unique charm and personality of each animal. Whether you're looking to add a whimsical touch to a nursery or seeking a statement piece for your home, our prints offer a timeless and artistic way to celebrate the animal kingdom.
